"Thought is followed by form"

There is a creative process at work in our lives. It's in action
whether we're aware of it or not. And it operates all day and every day.
This creative process shows us that where we place our thoughts -
actions follow in kind. Ultimately, this creates an outcome in our
life.
As a very basic example, consider what happens if one brisk winter day
we crave a cup of freshly brewed gourmet coffee. We might think of how
warm and comforting it will be. We might also think of how good our
favorite blend will taste. That first sip. The velvety texture and the
happiness it brings. Pretty soon, our thoughts paint a very pleasant
picture.
It's not difficult to guess what happens next. That's right, we take
action. We walk or drive down to the local coffee house and buy
ourselves a latte or an espresso. Or while we're grocery
shopping
a few hours later, we pay a visit to the isle where our special coffee
blend awaits.
If the process were a mathematical equation it might be written:
Thoughts in Mind + Actions Take Place = Form Follows (coffee)
It's significant to remember that beyond a cup of coffee, there are new
computers, cars, and homes. There are also healthy relationships we can
think into creation. Prosperity. Health. Helping others. Experiencing
peace-of-mind on a daily basis. New careers. The list goes on...
Right-thinking gives rise to the right kinds of situations.
Alternatively, unhealthy beliefs or attitudes can lead to undesirable
results. Outcomes that don't serve our highest good.
Perhaps the most important questions to ask ourselves about the
creative process are: What do we actually spend our time thinking
about? Do our thoughts serve us in forming the kinds of experiences and
outcomes we want in our lives?
Just this morning, since getting up, we had a countless number of
thoughts. What kind were they? When we become aware and begin to take
responsibility for what we think, then life starts to transform into
something more fulfilling. Keeping tabs on our thoughts takes a little
practice at first, but the reward is well worth it.
Best of all, it's nice to know that we are not helpless victims acted
upon by mysterious outside forces. That we have the power to shape
where we'd like to be today, in a few months, and ten years down the
road.
Another lesson learned...
