"What a
man
thinks of himself, that it is which determines, or rather indicates,
his fate."

There are times when
we might not
think too highly of ourselves. It's often easy to remember (and not let
go of) something we didn't do right, or an action we took that had an
undesirable outcome. And the interesting thing is that we may not even
be conscious we're doing it.
Consider for a moment, that we don’t need to "live in" or
"be"
our past. The present day is filled with opportunity to think of
ourselves in a proper, positive light. Doing this honors the true self
inside of us. It also releases the shackles of the past, and grounds
our present thoughts and actions in something that we can be proud of,
and happy with. This form of thinking (awareness) most often leads to
positive results and satisfying life experiences.
We aren't victims. We consistently shape our own experience whether
we're aware of it or not. So today let's choose to think of
ourselves as (and be) happy, prosperous, interesting, at peace, or
anything else that suites our fancy.
Spiritual Growth reflections:
Is there a
perception of myself I'm holding on to today that doesn't serve me?
Could this
thinking be shaping a less-than-positive or unhealthy outcome in my
life?
